Arabidopsis Genome Resource (AGR)
The Arabidopsis Genome Resource (AGR) is an information resource being
developed at NASC as part of the UK-CropNet project. The aim is to
integrate sequence data with physical and genetic maps of Arabidopsis,
within the UK CropNet project and provide information for identifying
gene function and crop plant orthologues of Arabidopsis genes.
AtDB An Arabidopsis Thaliana Database
Search facilities to Arabidopsis literature and electronic manuals, plus
a variety of analysis resources. AtDB is not just a database, but a
collection of information and analytical resources maintained by the
Stanford project.
The goal of the AtDB project is to develop a prototype of the next generation of Arabidopsis database. This will provide the user with an easy-to-use interface to the vast amount of data being produced by the Arabidopsis research community.
Arabidopsis Information Management System (AIMS)
AIMS is intended to support the database needs for all
Arabidopsis Stock Centers around the world. Currently one can order stocks
from ABRC and NASC (Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Centre) through AIMS.
AraClean
AraClean is an corrected and redundancy reduced database of
Arabidopsis thaliana sequences extracted from GenBank.
UK Crop Plant Bioinformatics Network (UK CropNet)
UK CropNet has been established as part of the BBSRC's Plant and Animal
Genome Analysis special initiative. The networks focus is the development,
management and distribution of information relating to comparative
mapping and genome research.
The network uses the ACEDB software to manage the information. Individual databases for Arabidopsis, Barley, Brassica, Forage grasses, Millet and comparative analysis are being developed by each of the partners. In addition new tools and displays to highlight the agronomic significance of comparative analysis are also being developed.
Dendrome: A Genome Database for Forest Trees
This is a collection of specialized forest tree genome
databases which are being developed by the Institute of
Forest Genetics. The initial focus of the project is to
develop a genome mapping database for loblolly pine (Pinus
taeda L.)
Pisum sativum Genetics
Information on Pea genetics.
BeanRef
A collection of references about different aspects of
research on beans (Phaseolus/Vigna).
BeanRef contains addresses, short descriptions, and links to germplasm collections, genetic maps, conferences, organizations, mailing list, and newsletters.
USDA Agricultural Plant Genomes
This is a compilation of molecular and
phenotypic information about various plant genomes.
The project is supported by the USDA Plant Genome Research Program.
Japan Rice Genome Research Program (RGP)
This is a semi-private research consortium, managed and supported
by MAFF, NIAR, a consortium of some twenty Japanese companies and the Japan Racing
Association (JRA).
MaizeDB Maize Genome Database
This project is part of the National
Agricultural Library's Plant Genome Research Program.
This provides access to Maize-related information in a variety of formats.
National Corn Genome Initiative NCGI
Links to the main maize genome sites.
University of Minnesota Medical School
Has information on various plant genome projects including
the Arabidopsis cDNA Sequence Analysis Project.
cDNA Sequence Analysis Projects on Rice, Corn (Maize), Pine, Brassica napus.
SoyBase: Metabolic Database
The metabolic component of SoyBase, a soybean genetic database, contains
reaction and pathway descriptions and diagrams for a number of basic
metabolic pathways.
North American Barley Genome Mapping Project (NABGMP)
The NABGMP is a multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary project that applies the latest genetic
technology to barley improvement. The long-term goal of the NABGMP is to locate and
characterize genes of economic importance and to use these genes in applied plant breeding.
Mendel - Plant Gene Nomenclature Database
The Mendel database project aims to develop a common nomenclature for sequenced genes, based on
gene families, for all photosynthetic organisms, the organelle genomes of both photosynthetic and
non-photosynthetic organisms (fungi, algae, and protozoa) and plant viruses.
The Mendel database contains information on :
