MHC binding peptides - MHCPEP
MHCPEP is a curated database of peptide sequences known to
bind MHC molecules. Each entry contains the source
protein (when known), an estimate of binding affinity and critical anchor
residues (if identified), and is fully referenced.
ImMunoGeneTics database
IMGT, the international ImMunoGeneTics database, is an integrated database specialising in
Immunoglobulins (Ig), T-cell receptors (TcR) and Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) molecules of all
species. IMGT includes two databases : LIGM-DB (for Ig and TcR) and MHC/HLA-DB (in development).
An IMGT tool, DNAPLOT, will allow Ig, TcR and MHC sequence analysis.
Kabat Database of sequences of immunological interest
Immunoglobulins, T-cell receptors and MHC.
V BASE - human germline variable region sequences
V BASE is a comprehensive directory of all human germline variable region sequences compiled from over
a thousand published sequences, including those in the current releases of the Genbank and EMBL data
libraries.
HLA Peptide Binding Predictions
This ranks potential 8-mer, 9-mer, or 10-mer peptides based on a
predicted half-time of dissociation to HLA class I molecules. The
analysis is based on coefficient tables deduced from the published
literature by Dr. Kenneth Parker
EpiMatrix MHC-Binding Prediction
A site providing MHC-binding predictions
for researchers working on vaccines and therapeutics
for HIV and a range of other pathogens.
Histo Home Page
Histo is dedicated to the investigation of the relationship between sequence,
structure and function of the proteins of the Major Histocompatibility Complex
(MHC).
The Antibody Resource Page
This is devoted to bringing together the vast number of resources about
antibodies on the net. It includes links to educational websites, links
to on-line companies (more than 30) that sell antibodies and
antibody-related products, links to antibody-related databases, essays
on antibody-related topics, and more.
Recombinant Antibody Page by Stefan Dubel
Descriptions of recombinant antibodies and some useful links.
A resource on Immunoglobulins
Based on Janice Kuby's Immunology Text Book.
Antibodies - Structure and Sequence
This page attempts to summarise useful information on antibody structure and sequence. It provides a
query interface to the Kabat antibody sequence data, general information on antibodies and crystal
structures and links to other antibody-related information.
Humanization by Design
Humanisation (also called Reshaping or CDR-grafting)
is a technique for reducing the immunogenicity of
monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) from xenogeneic sources (commonly rodent)
and for improving their activation of the human immune system.
Antibody Engineering Group
Information on the humanisation of mouse monoclonals and some pictures of antibodies.
Therapeutic Immunology Group (TIG)
Mucineers Home Page
Mainly concerned with the immunological interactions of antibodies and
mucin, a tumour associated antigen.
The aim of the research carried out here, is to investigate possible treatment and diagnostic options of cancer utilising the properties of antibodies and antibody fragments.
American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI)
Information about ASHI, ASHI News, links to HLA sequences, employment opportunities, an electronic journal and H&I archives
British Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (BSHI)
BSHI is a non profit making, non political society. It is essentially a forum for discussion and refinement
of scientific and technical innovations, as well as personnel training and communication between H & I
labs throughout the country.
Interests of BSHI labs include Tissue typing (Matching donor and recipient for solid organ and bone marrow transplantation and blood transfusion:- the Histocompatibility bit), the study of genetic polymorphisms of immune system components (the Immunogenetics bit) and the aetiopathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. The common denominator being MHC:- The Major Histocompatibility Complex, which is expressed on cells throughout the body.
BoLA Nomenclature Committee
This is intended to be the definitive source of information on the
bovine major histocompatibility complex - its genes, proteins and
polymorphism.
The BoLA nomenclature committee is a standing committee of the International Society for Animal Genetics. Its purpose is to collate data on the Bovine Leucocyte Antigens (BoLA) and provide a forum for the analysis and nomenclature of polymorphisms in the genes and proteins of the bovine MHC.

Some interesting antibody movies
Includes a "dancing antibody" and a morph of an antibody complexed with a rhinovirus.
CDR-H3 classification
The main limitation in antibody modeling is the lack of information to predict the structure of the H3
loop that, among the six loops that constitute the antigen binding site, is thought to play a major role in
determining the wide range of antibody specificity. In order to assess the existence of rules relating the
H3 conformation to the amino acid sequence, we analyzed all available structures of the immunoglobulin
H3 loops.
The identification of key-residues determining the mainchain conformation of H3 loops led us to define "canonical structures" for the ten residues proximal to the framework of H3 loops of any length and, for loops with a specific torso structure, for the entire loop; on the basis of these rules, the H3 structure can be predicted by amino acid sequence alone.
This new information, combined with the previously defined canonical structures for the other five hypervariable loops, is an important step toward the prediction of the complete immunoglobulin antigen-binding site.
