National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)
The NCBI is responsible for building, maintaining, and distributing GenBank, the NIH genetic sequence database that collects all known DNA sequences from scientists worldwide.


National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR)
The National Center for Genome Resources is a not-for-profit organization created to design, develop, support, and deliver resources in support of public and private genome research.


National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) (previously the NCHGR) was established to head the Human Genome Project for the National Instititutes of Health (NIH).

NIH GenoBase Server
GenoBase is a Prolog-based, object-oriented molecular biology database. This installation incorporates and links the contents of several large datasets, including EMBL and Swiss-Prot. While operations are still experimental, we are now providing a gateway for World Wide Web users to a substantial subset of the data in our GenoBase installation.
